Story : A landowner, an old friend of Curro's, writes to him asking for help. When Curro arrives at the farmhouse where they had met, he finds that he has died and his young widow is harassed by mysterious enemies. The bandit decides to discover the murderers, at the risk of his own life, out of loyalty to his friend.
