Story : Alfonso XIV has returned to Spain to record the traditional Royal Christmas Speech, in which, rather than abdicating, the King apologizes for putting his immature daughter in charge of the country. The branches of government warn Pilar that her father is out of his mind. They've tried speaking to him, but he refuses to listen. Pilar will have to convince him it's time for him to step aside.
