Story : In 2019 the Métis people achieved government recognition and self-government after more than 90 years of struggle. Here we meet Holden Atkinson, a young cowboy whose forefathers were also cowboys for the Hudson's Bay Company in the 1600s; his mother, who has been digging through the archives for answers about her identity; and his grandfather, who shares intimate memories of growing up caught between two worlds.
